Much has happened since Engelbert Frauscher 1927 made his life’s dream come true. And it is a dream we still perpetuate to this day, designing yachts which captivate connoisseurs the world over.

The Frauscher boatbuilding facilities are located in the attractive town of Gmunden directly on the banks of Lake Traunsee.
This ideal location allows us to maintain our own dockyard, numerous mooring berths and magnificent lofts in addition to our showrooms. Our own in-house production facilities also form part of our tradition-steeped premises.

Riedel – The Wine Glass Company

Tradition and innovation – the Riedel company can proudly look back on its 250-year success story. From its beginnings in northern Bohemia down to this day, for 11 generations (for now) Riedel Glass has stood for the high art of glassmaking.

Professor Claus J. Riedel was the first designer to recognize that the bouquet, taste, balance and finish of wines are affected by the shape of the glass from which they are drunk. Fifty years ago he began his pioneering work to create stemware that would match and complement different wines and spirits. In the late 1950s, Riedel started to produce glasses which at that time were a design revolution. Thin-blown, unadorned, reducing the design to its essence: Bowl, stem, base.

You don’t need to be a wine writer, a wine maker or an expert to taste the difference that a Riedel glass can make.

Intercell

Intercell is an innovative biotechnology company focused on the design and development of novel vaccines for the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases.

Its first product on the market is a prophylactic vaccine against Japanese Encephalitis.
Moreover, Intercell is pursuing clinical development of product candidates, both in-house and collaboratively with partners, e.g. vaccines against Travelers’ Diarrhea, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas, Hepatitis C, Influenza, Tuberculosis and Pneumococcus. In addition, several vaccine and antibodies candidates are undergoing pre-clinical testing.

Founded in 1998 as a spin-off from Vienna University, Intercell is an international and multicultural enterprise, with about 400 employees representing more than 30 different countries.

Jenbacher Engine

Disposal and treatment of biological waste represent a major challenge for the waste industry. For a wide range of organic substances from agriculture, foodstuff or feed industries, anaerobic fermentation is a superior alternative to composting.
Biogas, a mixture of methane and carbon dioxide – is created during anaerobic fermentation and serves as a fuel that can be used as a substitute for fossil fuels. Biogas-fueled gas engines improve waste management while maximizing the use of an economical energy supply.

A broad range of commercial, industrial, and municipal customers use Jenbacher products for on-site generation of power, heat, and cooling. Bongfish – Stoked

Bongfish, a new Austria-based company develops authentic licensed action-sports video games through a proprietary game-engine that recreates the “soul & vibe” of sports experiences.

Back in 1999 Bongfish started by making a snowboarding game FLOW.game as a student project. Following this, Bongfish has turned into a game developing company in 2001.
The company subsequently grew to a team of 25 people with over 98% of its employees touting academic degrees. The strong educational background of Bongfish’s core leadership and development staff blends with the company’s focus on a high tech approach to game development: find technical areas to excel and craft game play experiences that leverage off these technical strengths.
